June 2010: EarthChem links to the Global Volcanism Program of the Smithsonian Institution
EarthChem now offers a search for geochemical data by volcano name, using the global compilation of volcano information provided by the Global Volcanism Program of the Smithsonian Institution. Users can select one or multiple volcanoes from a list of volcano names to find geochemical data for these volcanoes at the EarthChem Portal. Locations of selected volcanoes are shown on a map and links to the individual web pages of volcanoes at the Global Volcanism Program's web site (http://www.volcano.si.edu/) are provided.
June 2010: SedDB Data now accessible at the EarthChem portal
Bulk sediment geochemical data for 21,739 samples from the SedDB data collection are now included in the EarthChem Portal. SedDB is a database that hosts geochemical data for marine sediments, comprising major element data, trace element data, stable and radiogenic isotope ratios. Data collected on other materials than bulk samples such as organic and inorganic components, leachates, size fractions, and pore-waters are so far accessible only at www.seddb.org.
