Welcome To EarthChem

EarthChem is a community-driven effort to facilitate the preservation, discovery, access and visualization of the widest and richest geochemical datasets.

Search seamlessly across multiple databases.
The EarthChem Portal offers a "one-stop-shop" for geochemistry data of the solid earth with access to complete data from multiple data systems. The portal features mapping and visualization tools.

Access comprehensive igneous geochemistry and topical data collections.
Earthchem builds and maintains topical data collections and provides access to topical datasets developed and maintained by partner projects.  For example, the EarthChem Deep Lithosphere Dataset contains geochemical and petrological data from lower crust and upper mantle xenoliths.

EarthChem originated from the collaborative partnership between
GEOROC, a project funded by the Max Planck Society and the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft DFG, and NSF-funded projects NAVDAT and PetDB.

Is there a reference missing in EarthChem? Do you have data you would like to contribute? We welcome your contribution! Let us know if you would like to be a part of EarthChem by contacting us.

Chemical data from GEOROC, NAVDAT, PetDB, and USGS for 594,335 samples is accessible through the EarthChem Portal.
