If you contribute data to our repository or if you contact us directly for data submission, we capture the contact information you provide and use it to respond to your comments, requests, and inquiries, to request additional information regarding your submission if needed, and to notify you when your data are accessioned. This information will be maintained for future communications, but to the maximum extent of the law, is not provided to any other organization or entity.

We notify Data Contributors via email when data are accessioned on our Website. We may contact you to send you newsletters, service updates, and occasional requests for user surveys. If you wish to opt out of notification, please contact us. To subscribe to or unsubscribe from our mailing list (news@geosamples.org), please click here. To subscribe, you must provide your email address and, optionally, your name. We do not share this information with any other organization or entity.
